The Association Against Counterfeit Product Distribution (AACD) may have occasion to collect and use personal information in the course of pursuing various activities in line with the intent and purpose of its establishment. However, we are strongly committed to complying with the following basic principles to ensure the appropriate handling of personal information.

We shall handle personal information in compliance with the Private Information Protection Law and other relevant laws and regulations in Japan. - Clarification of the purpose of use
We shall use the personal information we collect within the limited scope that is necessary for conducting business. - Safe management of personal information
We shall take appropriate measures as needed to prevent the leakage, loss, destruction, etc. of personal information we collect. - Maintaining accuracy
We shall make every effort to maintain the accuracy of personal data we handle within the scope of its purpose of use, and ensure it reflects the latest information. - Restrictions on provision of personal information to third parties
We shall not provide personal information to a third party without the consent of the concerned individuals, except as required by law. - Request for access to one’s own personal information
We shall, in addition to using personal information in an appropriate manner, respond to requests for the disclosure, correction, deletion, etc. of one’s own personal information. - Improvements
We shall continuously review as necessary the handling and management methods by which we strive to protect personal information.
